If you carry a gun on your waist you DO NEED a gun belt!
In fact, a proper gun belt is just as important as a proper holster. Normal store bought belts cannot come close to the STABILITY and RIGIDITY of a true “Gun Belt“. A real gun belt will distribute the weight of the gun around your ENTIRE waist, not just the part holding your gun. A typical belt cannot hold the weight of a fully loaded pistol tight against your body in a secure manner, because they simply weren’t designed to function the way a gun belt does.
What makes a “Gun Belt” different than a typical belt? Well, to begin with, our gun belts are over a quarter of an inch thick! By laminating two layers of leather together in the proper way, we create a much stiffer gun belt that is more resistant to stretching under a load. The two straps of bullhide are also sewn with a very heavy thread for a bond that will last forever. Our gun belt is finished off with a high quality roller buckle. This belt will handle any amount of gear. If you have the room for it, this belt will hold it. Guaranteed.
Your belt size will be different with a gun belt.
Please follow the instructions below to determine the proper size of belt needed. Please don’t skip this step, but rest easy in knowing that you may exchange your belt for the proper size if you accidentally order the wrong size.
Measuring Option 1 (best)- Measure your current belt from the farthest tip of the buckle to the hole you use with all of your gear mounted.
Measuring Option 2 – Measure your current belt from the end of the buckle to the hole you use with no gear mounted and add 2-3 inches for inside-the-waistband carry.
Measuring Option 3 – Run a tailor’s tape through your belt loops, and add 2 inches for inside-the-waistband carry.
Measuring Option 4 (least accurate)- Add three to four inches to your pants waist size.
Proper measuring is crucial for a good fitting gun belt.

Are your belts made so that someone can use their own buckles?
Yes, you can use your own belt buckle.
Kydex reinforcing? Is that sandwiched between the leather? Does it make the belt thicker? And just how much more ridged is a double stiching to single?(noKydex)
Kydex reinforcing is sandwiched between the leather. It is thin kydex and the added thickness is unnoticeable.
Double stitching adds a minimal amount of rigidity to smaller belts, but really makes a difference in belts over 40 inches.
