Template Board

If you want to mold your own kydex using the Old Faithful Holster method, you’ll need a board to make your cutout.

MDF is the perfect substance because it creates nice clean lines and is strong enough to stand up to unlimited molding.

You’ll need different thicknesses for different guns and we have done all the hard work for you! You can’t get MDF from anyone else in thicknesses of less than 1/2 inch, but we have it! We have several different thicknesses to choose from.

You don’t have to be extremely precise, but here is a general guide. Subtract .65 from the width of your gun’s slide and choose the closest thickness from the option list. For example, if your gun is 1.1 inches thick you’ll need a .45 inch board (1.1 – .65 = .45).

When measuring, don’t include the slide release, etc.

As a general guide:

.25 — Ruger LCP, Beretta Nano, 1911, etc
.35 — Ruger SR9/SR40, etc
.40 — Glock 9mm/40, XD 9mm/40, Revolvers, etc
.50 — Glock .45, XD 45, etc
